Health & Safety

A.C. Whyte takes the safety and wellbeing of everyone working or entering their sites extremely seriously. Our health and safety training and accreditations include:

  • Health and safety training and awareness for all operatives.
  • Office staff have been trained in CDM 2007 and Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999: Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • All Site Managers have been trained in the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999: Risk Assessments and Method Statements. This allows each Site Manager to manage health and safety of our direct labour and sub-contractors.
  • A.C. Whyte is an accredited member of The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).

Safety for all

Prior to the commencement of any works, a project-specific Health and Safety Plan is prepared. The plan highlights all hazards associated with the works, and advises on control measures to reduce the associated risks, incorporating risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessment. We also employ an external Health & Safety Advisor who carries out monthly site audits, prepares monthly site reports and ensures our sites are run with H&S as priority.
